Chapter 24. The Autopoiesis of the Empty Machine and the Theater of Public Order
Abstract: Having diagnosed the terminal aberrations of the West—from the denial of natural punishment to the right to compensation, up to the criminalization of the white blood cell—an inevitable engineering question emerges: if this paradigm is patently suicidal, why does the legislative and judicial macro-system continue to expand it? The Mechanics of Community answers by introducing the concept of “Autopoiesis.” The chapter unveils the economic dogma hidden behind the ideology of human rights: the prohibition against “resolving” social problems in order to impose the obligation to “manage” them. Since biological resolution comes at zero cost, whereas bureaucratic management generates entire economic supply chains, the Empty Machine has transformed the pathogen into an “Asset.” Through the analysis of urban guerrilla warfare and the comparison between the theses of D. Fassin and J.-C. Michéa, the essay unmasks the fake political clash (the theater of public order). Social friction, crime, and fear are not “failures” of the system, but its primary fuel: a macabre game of massacre in which the community is cannibalized to guarantee the survival of the bureaucratic parasite.
