Chapter 10. The Social Antibody and Thermodynamic Immediacy
Abstract: This chapter explores the time variable in the application of social rules, comparing the community to a living organism. Starting from cellular biology, it demonstrates how the health of the network depends on the action of “white blood cells”: Social Antibodies (teachers, parents, citizens) who operate simultaneously as judges and executioners. The text reveals the engineering of our DNA: the human predictive engine learns boundaries exclusively through immediate feedback. Thermodynamic Immediacy is the only way to extinguish deviance in the bud. Transforming the delayed judicial supply chain into the daily rule generates the lethal “Thermodynamic Latency,” a time interval that the transgressor’s DNA decodes as impunity (zero cost). This pathology of delegation has infected even Responsive Interaction and the sense of belonging (the condominium example), leaving the atomized individual at the mercy of unpunished pathogens or forced to seek refuge in courts that protect the abstract rights of the aggressor.
