Modern global elites (financial, technocratic, and bureaucratic) have understood the total inefficiency of this ancient method. They have engineered an infinitely more refined, surgical, and economical strategy of conquest, based on a terrifying psychological principle already intuited in the sixteenth century by the French philosopher Étienne de La Boétie: voluntary servitude.
The equation of contemporary domination is ruthless: to enslave a people at zero cost, you must not threaten them with weapons. You must convince them that being chained is their own free and democratic choice, an act of supreme intelligence, and a milestone of civilization. You must make the people themselves beg to be subjugated, welcoming their executioner with rounds of applause.
2. The Lure of Progress: The False Consciousness of Human Rights
What is the bait used by the Empty Machine to induce entire Nations to spontaneously hand over the keys to their destiny? The ideology of Human Rights and the dogma of “ethical progress.”
The architecture of the deception is masterful and proceeds in phases. Initially, the elites, through a capillary network of media, intellectuals, and supranational institutions, inoculate the target population with a sense of historical inferiority. They convince them that their traditional community structure, borders, currency, and sovereignty are “barbaric,” provincial, and retrograde legacies. The panacea is then offered: assimilation into “European or Western values” (civil rights, cosmopolitanism, minority protection, pacifism), which are packaged and sold as the absolute synonym for progress and superior moral value.
The people are neurologically deceived. They are led to believe that renouncing their national sovereignty to embrace abstract international treaties is an evolutionary leap, an entry into the “polite society” of civilization. The insidious topological nature of these rights is deliberately and surgically hidden: the insertion of every abstract right mathematically translates into the creation of an inexorable duty borne by the host community. The citizen is dazzled by the “right” label, without realizing they are signing their own condemnation to forced labor to maintain the bureaucrats of that ideology.
Clinical Example: Consider the unconditional Right of Asylum and NGOs. A State’s borders are the organism’s cell membrane, its primary thermodynamic defense. Today, non-governmental organizations and international bureaucracies constantly breach these borders, ferrying masses of individuals inside sovereign States. If the State tried to use naval ships to repel the invasion, it would be acting physiologically. But the Empty Machine activates the Ethical Shield: it accuses the State of violating “universal Human Rights.” The people, prey to the guilt instilled by propaganda, accept that their own borders are violated. 3. The European Union as an “Ethical Empire”: Anatomy of an Expropriation
The most perfect and lethal clinical case of this engineering of subjugation is the architecture of the contemporary European Union. Nations enter (or beg to enter) the EU convinced they are joining a prosperous alliance of free peoples, attracted by the rhetoric of rights, peace, and solidarity. But once the threshold is crossed, the thermodynamic trap springs shut, and the true nature of the system is revealed.
The European Union is configured today as a true Ethical Empire. It presents itself not as a military master, but as a superior moral authority. Using the excuse of having to “protect the Rule of Law,” market stability, and Human Rights, the unelected bureaucracy of Brussels and the Central Bank arrogate the right to place the democratic will of individual States under administration.
Anyone who enters the European Empty Machine, in fact, subjugates themselves to strong transnational powers (financial conglomerates, techno-bureaucratic elites). The mechanics of enslavement proceed through three ruthless engineering degrees, documented by recent history:
A. Surrender of Degrees of Freedom (NDoF) and Monetary Monopoly
The State, by entering the Euro system and accepting budget constraints, surrenders its monetary and legislative sovereignty. This is not an economic detail: in thermodynamics, it means zeroing out the country’s immune defenses. In the past, if a nation suffered a crisis, it could devalue its currency or deficit spend to cushion the impact and protect its citizens. By surrendering this power, the national Parliament can no longer decide the economic policies necessary to protect its Intrinsic Objective. It must blindly obey austerity parameters decided elsewhere. The friction (the pain of the crisis) is no longer absorbed by the State, but discharged directly onto the living flesh of the citizens (unemployment, hospital cuts, school closures).
B. Thermodynamic Extraction: The “Green Transition”
Once the States are caged, the powers that be initiate the extraction of wealth for their own benefit. The masterpiece of contemporary cynicism is masking the de-industrialization of Europe under the moral banner of the “Green Deal” or ecological transition. Waving the ethical and unassailable dogma of “saving the planet,” the Ethical Empire imposes directives that destroy strategic national industries (automotive, agriculture, manufacturing). Thousands of European companies shut down, not because they are inefficient, but because they cannot sustain the costs of top-down regulations. The material result? Europe yields its Thermodynamic Surplus, rendering itself completely dependent on the technologies and raw materials of external superpowers (like China), while the middle classes are stripped of their jobs and homes (unsustainable “green” renovation mandates). Mass impoverishment is sold and celebrated as “ecological martyrdom.”
C. Moral and Economic Blackmail: The Greek Case and the Spread
What happens if a people — crushed by this material impoverishment — rebels, activating its Horizontal Vector, voting en masse for a government that attempts to defend borders, local production, or national identity? The Empty Machine does not send tanks: it activates the financial firing squad.
The supreme clinical example is the Greek crisis of 2015. An entire people, exhausted by years of brutal cuts to hospitals and pensions imposed by the Troika (European Commission, ECB, IMF), voted democratically in a Referendum (the famous “Oxi”) to reject the Empire’s strangling conditions. The Ethical Empire completely ignored the democratic will of a sovereign nation. By cutting off access to liquidity and threatening the immediate banking collapse of the Country, the supranational bureaucracy bent the Greek government in a few days, forcing it to sign conditions even harsher than those rejected by the people and to sell off state ports and infrastructures to foreign powers.
If the Greek threat was peripheral, the weapon is constantly used against larger nations through the threat of the Spread or the “Infringement Procedure.” If a government attempts to deviate from Brussels’ dogmas (on economic issues or “civil rights”), the rebel State is financially sanctioned (causing the cost of its debt on the markets to explode) and morally excommunicated (accused of violating Human Rights, of being racist or anti-democratic). The blackmail is total: either obey the elite’s diktat, or we will bankrupt you and declare you an enemy of the human race.
Conclusion: The Triumph of the “Empty Machine”
The ideology of human rights, cosmopolitanism, and dogmatic environmentalism is thus revealed for what it truly is on the global chessboard: not a milestone of civilization, but the universal solvent of sovereignty.
In the eyes of the Mechanics of Community, today’s subjugation has reached a level of dystopian perfection that not even the great dictators of the past had dared to dream. Western peoples allow themselves to be expropriated of their structural resources, their industry, their wages, and their street safety without firing a shot, convinced they are doing so to stand “on the right side of history” or to save the climate. It is the triumph of the herd walking happily to the slaughterhouse, reassured by sweet music and the green color of the walls.
Financial and bureaucratic powers have dismantled the democratic power of peoples by using their own ethics as a lockpick. Until citizens unveil this mask, understanding that behind the words “rights, sustainability, and moral progress” hides the most ruthless, glacial, and infallible algorithm of extraction and enslavement in human history, Nations will continue to march festively toward their own extinction.
