The Inner Map of the “Here”: Intrinsic and Extrinsic Interaction in Spatial Dysfunctions

The Integrated Theory of Mind (TIM) establishes that location awareness (Hic) is pre-wired in the Riverbed through Quantum Interaction logics, operated by the Quantum Self (QS). These logics define corporeal and spatial geometry via a fractionation hierarchy. We distinguish between:

Intrinsic Interaction: Defines the absolute structural dichotomies (Left/Right, Ventral/Dorsal, Superior/Inferior, Front/Back), which are encoded by the Prognostica Mens (PM) as inherent properties of the Soma. Extrinsic Interaction: Acts as a triggering/modulating factor (e.g., gravity, direction) for the Second-Level Intrinsic Divisions and defines Relational Extrinsic Interaction, which establishes the relational validity between the Soma and other Fractionable Entities or symbolic systems.

This paper demonstrates that Unilateral Spatial Neglect (USN) is a failure of the absolute Intrinsic fractionation of the Soma (rendering space non-existent), while Gerstmann’s Syndrome (GS) is a failure of Relational Extrinsic Interaction and Hierarchical Conditionality between Entities, despite maintaining intact intrinsic corporeal geometry.

Embodied Consciousness: Beyond the Signal, Towards Structure and Predictive Knowledge (Integrated SOC/SOA)

raditional neurobiology views proprioception as a dynamic signal calculated by the brain. The Integrated Theory of Mind (TIM) proposes an alternative, structural view: the awareness of one’s position and the instant of its activation are intrinsic, structural properties of the neurons themselves, encoded as “Hic et Nunc” (here and now). This theory resolves the untenable Hyper-complex Synchronization Paradox. The article introduces the River Archetype to distinguish between potential knowledge (the Riverbed, the positional structure) and the Dynamic Relational Knowledge of the Prognostica Mens (PM), which constitutes the true Information used for action. The Flow of Water is reinterpreted as the State Feedback Flow (sensory/energetic) that the PM monitors to validate the execution of its knowledge. The PM selectively activates the bed of the System Operative Communication (SOC) for holistic-interwoven symbolic gestures (Second Level) or the bed of the System Operative Action (SOA) for quantum-fractionated metric gestures (Second Level). Focalization is defined as the linear Output act, realized by its executive modality, the Responsiva Mens (RM), which operationalizes positional knowledge (the Hic Information) and state monitoring (the Nunc Flow). The Anchoring Theory is explored as a universal mechanism that extends this structural knowledge from the body to external objects, supported by neuroscientific studies on the bimodal receptive field (Iriki, Tanaka, & Iriki, 1996).
