1. The Factory of New Idols and Thermodynamic Slavery
In the previous chapters, we unveiled the engineering hallucination of the West: having elevated the individual in a vacuum (the Immanent Domain) above the survival of the network. But we have not yet measured the practical and visual effect that this dogma produces every morning on our streets.
Progressive sociology continues to speak of “emancipation” and “freedom,” but empirical observation provides us with a diametrically opposed diagnosis. Honest citizens, workers, and Western taxpayers are not free: they have been reduced to a state of profound, silent, and inexorable submission.
To understand the anomaly of this dynamic, we must turn to anthropology. In primitive societies, man agreed to submit to gods or Idola tribus that represented the forces of Nature. He recognized in them an immense, blind, and unassailable power: storms, droughts, volcanoes, earthquakes. Faced with these titanic forces, the human being did not “foam with rage” at his own impotence. His predictive engine calculated the absolute impossibility of winning and peacefully accepted those limits (the Reality Constraint), evolving to adapt to the natural environment. Submission to the natural Idol was a physiological and biologically logical reaction.
Today, human rights ideology has sought to rebuild a dogmatic cult, but it has replaced the invincible forces of nature with a topological aberration: the Social Pathogen. The “New Idols” are profoundly different. While sacrifices were offered to the natural idol in a desperate attempt to appease an unstoppable force, society is now forced to sacrifice itself to the New Idol despite knowing it is immensely stronger than it. Jurisprudence has established a perverse equation: the poorer, more irregular, deviant, or hostile to the system an individual is, the more his “status” as a victim rises, transforming him into an Untouchable Idol. His “inalienable rights” become absolute. And this is where Thermodynamic Slavery kicks in: the State forces the community of healthy citizens to submit to these New Idols, compelling them to cede vital space, taxes, and security to maintain and tolerate them, regardless of how destructive the Idol’s actions are to the network.
2. The Rebellion of DNA and the Neurobiology of “Double Anger”
Modern sociology describes the passive acceptance of this criminality as a sign of “mature civilization” or peaceful resignation. Evolutionary biology and neuroscience, on the contrary, tell us that this forced submission represents the gravest biological violence ever perpetrated against the human nervous system.
Unlike the storm or the volcano, the thief, the bully, or the squatter are not unstoppable forces of nature. They are peer biological entities, simple nodes that the collective organism (the community of healthy citizens) could overwhelm, disarm, and punish in a fraction of a second thanks to its numerical and moral superiority.
Our DNA is not programmed to turn the other cheek to a weak parasite. Primatologists (like Frans de Waal, 2006) have amply demonstrated Inequity Aversion: the brain of higher mammals violently rejects the idea of granting resources to those who do not do their part in the group. Furthermore, as proven by neuroeconomist Ernst Fehr (2002), we possess the circuit of Altruistic Punishment: our brain physically orders us to attack and punish those who violate the rules of the tribe to safeguard the vital perimeter.
What happens, then, in the body of an honest citizen when he sees a criminal operating with impunity and knows he cannot react? A lethal neural short-circuit is triggered. The citizen’s brain knows perfectly well that the enemy could be defeated, and the amygdala (the alarm control center of System 1) detects the injustice, flooding the blood with adrenaline and cortisol, ordering the body to fight. But in that exact millisecond, the prefrontal cortex (the cold bureaucratic calculator of System 2)—terrified by the law of the State, which would inexorably strike the citizen if he dared to harm a hair on the Idol’s head—physically blocks the muscles, imposing paralysis.
The State, through the legal artifice of abstract rights, intervenes to “amputate” our innate defense mechanism, artificially elevating the pathogen to an untouchable deity. As explained by neuroscientist Robert Sapolsky (2004), inhibiting physical action in the face of a strong prolonged stressor literally destroys the organism. The citizen endures the abuse immersed in a bath of cortisol that he cannot discharge. Because his impotence is not dictated by Nature but by a political fiction, he does not accept the limit, but “foams with rage.” He generates what we will call Double Thermodynamic Anger:
- The visceral anger toward the Idol (the pathogen) that is robbing or humiliating him.
- The furious hatred toward the Vertical Vector (the State, the institutions, the judges) that ties his hands behind his back, preventing him from defending himself and forcing him to venerate the one attacking him.
Let us map this process of submission and neurological violence across all scales of contemporary society.
3. The Macro-Scale: Inequity Aversion and Abusive Fiefdoms
The most glaring exhibition of this community submission occurs in the management of borders and territory.
- The Unaccompanied Foreign Minor (UFM): Anyone who arrives illegally and falls into this category represents the apex of the New Idol. When he crosses the border, his demographic status triggers an immediate state submission protocol. He is a true modern Idola tribus: the citizen community prostrates itself, providing him with food, housing, education, free legal aid, and even pocket money. The thermodynamic madness is not the reception itself; it is the total absence of conditionality. If this “Idol” destroys the facility hosting him, harasses passersby, or deals drugs, the community must continue to maintain him. The State forbids expulsion. Tax-paying citizens (yielding their biological sweat and their precious Thermodynamic Surplus) suffer a neural collapse from Inequity Aversion: they see their own resources burned to feed a node that despises and attacks them. The poorer and more irregular the individual is at the origin, the more society is enslaved and obliged by law to passively endure his abuses.
- Abusive Camps and Urban Feudalism: A group of irregular individuals (as happens in unauthorized nomadic camps) installs itself on the outskirts of a city. They act undisturbed, stealing copper, burglarizing apartments, and squatting in houses. In a healthy ecosystem, white blood cells would intervene in an hour to dismantle the anomaly. But the system elevates them to “untouchable minorities.” They become the new feudal lords who subjugate entire neighborhoods. Honest citizens suffer “double anger”: they are forced to barricade themselves inside, lower their gaze, and allow themselves to be robbed, knowing they could physically drive them out but being prevented from doing so by the State, which protects the toxic minority.
4. The Meso-Scale: Transport Paralysis and the Petty Masters of the Discontinuum
Moving to the arteries of the city (transportation, parks), the amputation of the biological deterrent becomes a daily occurrence. The serial criminal assumes the traits of the neighborhood despot.
- The Pickpocket in the Subway: A group of serial pickpockets strolls through the train cars with arrogance. In that moment, the pickpocket becomes the absolute “petty master” of that temporary micro-community (the passengers). The reaction of honest citizens is not “civilization”; it is induced Thanatosis: rendered defenseless by the law that would prosecute them if they used force against the thieves, the passengers (whose biology would scream to act) resign themselves, lower their gaze, and clutch their bags. Dozens of honest people with their amygdalas on fire, held hostage by two parasites because the State prevents Altruistic Punishment.
- The Drug Dealer in the Park: When a pusher occupies a green area, he physically appropriates the Degrees of Freedom (NDoF) of the neighborhood. The drug dealer becomes the master of that square: woe to anyone who approaches or interrupts his shady dealings. Children can no longer play; the elderly change their route. The community retreats and accepts the status of servitude in its own home, worn down by anger toward institutions that protect the rights of the merchant of death.
5. The Micro-Scale: The Castration of Authority in Institutions
The metastasis of subjugation does not spare the sanctuaries of the State, penetrating classrooms and hospital wards. Here, the New Idol destroys the very roots of knowledge and care.
- School Submission: In the contemporary school, the deviant student has been elevated to a pedagogical totem. The entire school community literally becomes a servant to the bully or the serial harasser. When the toxic student goes so far as to put a trash can on the teacher’s head, an intolerable neurobiological violence is consummated. The teacher is biologically driven to react forcefully to defend his own dignity and the class (defensive System 1), but the Empty Machine forces him to endure the humiliation so as not to risk disciplinary measures or lawsuits. The pathogen gains total control of the ecosystem, mocking an authority that has chosen to make itself a slave.
- Healthcare Submission: Finally, the hospital ward. Empowered by the narrative of medical malpractice, the aggressive patient or relative transforms into the new Idola tribus to which healthcare personnel must submit. The doctor and the nurse become servants of the profiteer who insults them, demanding immediate treatment or threatening lawsuits. The healer, who throughout history has always been the most authoritative figure in the tribe, bends, applying defensive medicine to avoid being lynched by the courts.
Conclusion: State Violence against the Ecosystem
This ruthless examination delivers a terminal diagnosis. We are not facing mere “public order problems.” We are facing a true biological abuse by the State.
Man evolves by adapting to the limits of Nature, but goes mad if forced to submit to the arrogance of the inadequate. Slavery, in its profound thermodynamic sense, is consummated the moment biology and common sense scream at us to react to an obvious and surmountable injustice, but the legal system ties our hands and forces us to yield our space, our sweat, and our dignity to feed a parasite.
The short-circuit of human rights has generated the absolute inversion of civilization. The State no longer uses force to compel pathogens to submit to the rules of the network. On the contrary, the State uses the threat of its courts to compel the peaceful community to submit to pathogens. Until we destroy these “New Idols,” restoring the network’s sacred biological right to forcefully eradicate those who infect it—without having to ask permission from the theology of abstract safety—the West will continue to be an empire of slaves, boiling with a double, exhausting, and unexpressed anger.
